Ask a question that gives a useful answer
And know why the first question rarely does.

About the course
For someone who has never opened an AI tool, a beginner course is the right one, because it starts at zero and does not assume you already know what a prompt is.
Most people who come here have tried once, become unsure whether the answer could be trusted, and put it aside. Others have not opened anything at all. Both are the right starting point.
We go briefly through what the technology does, then spend the time on how to ask a question so that the answer is useful and how to check that answer before you use it. You try it yourself throughout the course, in one tool rather than five.
After the course you get a record of completion. It is yours, it can be checked afterwards by whoever you show it to, and it stays with you if you change employer.
You need no prior knowledge and you do not need to be able to program.
After the course
And know why the first question rarely does.
You learn the three failures that turn up most often: a fact that is not there, something that dropped out on the way, an assumption the tool made without telling you. You decide in under a minute whether an answer is worth working with or should be thrown away. You leave with a five line checking routine written down.
You choose it during the course and work on it there and then.

Your job security council may pay for the whole course. That applies to TRR, TSL and several others, and it is more common than most people think.
If you have used a tool a few times at work, AI in the workplace suits you better. It starts where you already are.
One that is free to try, so that you can keep practising after the course without buying anything.
On site if you want to be able to ask in the moment and see us do it in front of you. Online if three hours is what you can free up.
Yes, a personal record after completing the course. It is issued digitally and can be checked afterwards, also by someone outside AIUC. We call it a record of completion and not a certification: a certification is issued by an independent body against an established standard, and no such standard exists for general AI literacy.
Yes. The AI course for beginners has a module of its own on checking an AI answer before you use it: twenty minutes online and a full hour on the on site day. You practise spotting the three most common failures, tracing a claim back to a source you can open yourself, and deciding what to do with the parts that cannot be checked. You write down a short checking routine for a task you do every week and take it with you.
More than five days before the start it costs nothing. Two to five days before, half the course fee is charged. The day before or on the day, the full fee is charged. Get in touch as early as you can, and we will solve what can be solved.
